ERA Shipping operates and staffs 3 vessels on behalf of Strömma Turism & Sjöfart;

The vessels accommodate up to 300 passengers and operate in both the Saltsjö and Mälaren on regular schedules as well as charter assignments.

In preparation for the summer season, we are looking for new dedicated employees for deck service.

As a deckhand, you will be part of the daily operations on board and will be included in the vessel's safety crew. The work includes everything from starting machines, maintaining systems, and mooring work to welcoming guests on board and ensuring that their experience is as enjoyable as possible. You will work in a team with additional deckhands and/or captains as well as restaurant staff depending on which vessel you are assigned to. Great emphasis is placed on teamwork, initiative, communication skills, and a willingness to develop. The work on board is versatile and at times physically demanding, so a good physical condition is advantageous.

  • Fluent Swedish is a requirement.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Color vision, good eyesight, and hearing (medical certificate for seafarers required).
  • Basic safety training is required.
  • Previous experience in service is an advantage.
